Why is going to the doctors sometimes known as "going to the quack(s)"?

The term Quacks comes from a strange shaped face mask "Healers" from I think the 16th or 17 century used to wear over their face to try to prevent germs from spreading that just happened to be a similar shape to a bill or beak from a bird
