hotpoint problems

my hotpoint model WF860 seems to be stuck on a flashing F3 this happend after we had a power cut I have trired turning it off but this makes no difference please can you help

Just a thought - but so many devices these days seem to go to standby rather than off, when the power button is pressed. Try unplugging it from the mains for 10 minutes or so, this can sometimes help.
