digital freeview box

Hi i have an Alba digital freeview box,and a remote but no instructions. It works fine but i keep getting an onscreen message saying........CHANNEL LISTING CHANGE.... ONE NEW CHANNEL ADDED......ONE CHANNEL TO DELETE.
Weve done all the updating stuff n that but this message keeps coming up every five mins or so. you can get rid of it by pressing select but its most annoying. Please help>

If you can find the relevant settings from the menu, force the box to do a complete re-scan from scratch. On my Freeview box there's a choice between 'add new channels' and 'replace channels'. You need the second of those, or whatever your box uses to describe the same option. i.e. you're not looking for an 'update' option but a 'rescan' one, which wipes all of the existing information and starts from new.

Do a FULL scan with the antenna UN-plugged .. so it finds nothing.
Then re-connect and do a FULL scan again.
Set update setting as required.
