18. Dn. Class of barons originally ? Not so in Northumberland area.(8). ?o?l?s?e
I'm sure its "noblesse" but could someone explain to exactly why ?

Thank you very much. Mike11111. I had pondered over "less" for "not so" but didn't really see it. It would have been better if the clue had said "not so much " don't you think ?
