ewer ewe=female+ r for river
yes ewer -ewe (female sheep =r - river)
Ever Eve +R(iver)
On second thoughts ewer is right-sheep are dipped
Question Author
What about ever ? eve + R for river?
ewer makes sense because ewer is a jug.
EWE/female + R for river = EWER = jug

(Ever doesn't satisfy the jug reference)
Hi cupid - you're too quick for me tonight!
Question Author
