Pepperwood Viognier - £7.99 in Morrisons.

This Californian beaut is pure nectar, full of honey with a distinct, lingering hit of clove. I've been a fan of this enigmatic grape for some time and this wine certainly didn't fail to deliver. Unfortunately, despite my best shopping efforts, I was unable to find any goats' cheese anywhere to accompany my delish vino. (Was it National Goats' Cheese Day yesterday? Everyone had sold out!) I will indulge in another bottle this coming Friday - so roll on the weekend! lol

Have you discovered a wine or food that has floated your boat recently?

I recently had some Chateau Saint-Germain 2008 Bordeaux. Excellent throughout. I was given it so not sure but think it's about £8.
you certainly know your wine NM :-O)

Sounds nice, Scotman. I'll keep my eye out for it.

Hi Bobbi. I love cooking with wine too. Occasionally I put some in the food! ;-)
I remember QC had a certain je ne sais quoi. It was fairly cheap too
I'm jealous :-(

It's not one for the connoisseur. Another I forgot to mention was Buckfast. It's very popular in Scotland

I'll look out for it. I wonder if they sell it anywhere else? (like Waitrose?)

They might do other Viogniers, but Viogniers are as variable as Champagne. There's truly awesome and there's garbage. The Pepperwood is the best I've come across.
Only on AB could there be 4 "pulled posts" on a "Wine of the Week" thread....:-)
Always makes me wonder what it was the ed felt fit to be removed. Wish sometimes I wasn't so nosy.

You're not wrong there, Sqad. Wine, entertainment, what more could you ask for?
And only 2 wines mentioned so far. Posting in CB was possibly a mistake.
