HELP! Puppys nose swollen on one side!!!
My puppy is 5 months old. She has been acting fine all day and was out earlier playing with a couple of other dogs she normally plays with. I've been with her the whole time she has been outside so don't think she's been stung and I haven't seen her bang in to anything.
I noticed this afternoon that the left side of her nose was a little swollen from just below her eye down to her nostril. It was so slight I thought I might be imagining it. It is now noticeably swollen, she is acting like normal but will not let me touch that side of her face. She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort although I'm sure she must be a little bit!
Anyone know what might be causing the swelling and if a trip to the vets is required or just to wait it out??
TIA

It is also safe to give a dog Piriton (but not other brands of antihistamine). If it is a bite, piriton could well help. I give it for nettle stings 'cos my dog is a whimp!
But take the advice of your vet and give the low dose aspirin.
