I should have written stoccata. Cle is This thrust renders point to a piece of musuc (8). S(outh) for bearing and toccata for music piece. Hope that helps. teebee

I can't parse 'aisle', but 'adDle' can mean empty - take s(on) from s(addle) (seat) (?)

Perhaps the clue for the 'S' answer...?

Lie-in King I am still stuck on this corner. 11a Passes English with mistakes - I have elapses. However the last letter of this clue is the third letter of 8d Empty seat left by son (5) which I would have thought addle. Can you help?
