Okay Lady Alex. Without wanting to hijack bevvers thread, just wanted to let you know that my grandson has had an MRI and has some cerebral palsy probably due to his problems pre birth due to lack of fluid. He has slight drag of his feet with walking and behind with speech but not it is diagnosed will get all the help possible. I thought I would feel sad on diagnosis but he is such a fabulous and charming child that I know he is going to be alright. I hope you are ok and will let me know when you are a granny too, which I know you will be one of these days!
Sorry to hear about Luca's troubles, grasscarp. Sure you are right, though that he will be all right....personality goes such a long way.
No signs of grandparent-hood here yet, but the son-and-heir's current relationship has lasted the longest so far by a long way. So I continue to hope. And occasionally hint.
We're off to the States to visit him at then end of the month which will be lovely.
Take care, :-))
She is Zoe. Luca got as far as zho zho, but his difficulty in forming the word now he calls her ro ro. Zoe is a great baby. 9 months old and walking and trying to talk too!
Girls are quicker to talk, they tell me.
We have a little girl who lives next door and talks to us over the garden wall. She's 5 now and I reckon we've had more conversation from her in the 6 months or so she has been talking to us than we did in most of our son's childhood.
Zoe is a lovely name too.
Speech therapists are marvellous and I'm sure Luca will do very well now that you know what you're dealing with.
Thanks. To Grasscrap and Lady Alex, really don't mind about the "Hijacking". Am quite involved through a friend with Fund Raising for kid's with Cerabal Palsy - Bopath Wales. Amazing cause for Amazing kids xx
