New Year's Eve

We're a bit fed-up with our usual New Year's Eve and would like to do something a little different this year. We're looking for somewhere not too far from Poole/Bournemouth where we can have a good dinner and where there is some gentle (not raucous and boozy) entertainment that we will not be forced to join in with. Does anybody have any ideas?
