EV 981 Pub Crawl by Shark

Good morning all - I can't see a thread yet on this fine crossword by Shark.
A difficult one, I thought, but lots of clever touches, and crammed with thematic material.
I've still one or two bits of wordplay to get, but (hopefully) all actions carried out.

When I started this EV, this morning I was a little disturbed at the lack of gift clues! Had difficulty twigging where the misprints were meant to lead me. Probably didn't have enough of them, especially the last ones. Frequent looks in ODQ for the first words were futile! Then stumbled upon what was happening in some entries, viz, the action required by the 2nd and 3rd lines. That then lead me to a revised delve into ODQ, and voila, grid fully populated! I then began a grid search for a synonym of what had to be burst, DOH! It was there hidden in plain text! Copelander, I also struggled with the action required in the first line, and as yet have only found one instance, the first of the two.

Good Morning Everyone, only got started on Weds but have managed to find the verse, not the version I am familiar with, purely by luck and some flights of fancy. Am I correct in thinking line 2 applies to only 2 clues (the 'in' of which I have) and line 3 to an undefined number of clues? Line 4 I am assuming means the removal of said item but that part of the preamble is currently a closed door. Line 1 I don't understand at all so some hob-nail hints would be gratefully received about that and the very strange looking 4d.

Good evening Devadolly. Sorry, won't be much help to you as you are further on than me. Visitors last weekend plus endless fruit - well, you know the scenario. So started very late and making some progress, but slowly. Haven't identified the quote yet, but not been at it long enough to start despairing.
