Or just pictures of today's youth doing what they've done for generations, going out getting bombed at weekends, but this time it's captured in all its glory?

The mail run this story a few times a year at least - it's easy fodder.

Binge drinking and getting hammered has been a British pastime for hundreds of years.

Must be a slow news day
Quite nicely taken shots.

I never really worry about what the proles get up to on the weekend.
Well, before we get into Hogarth's painting of Gin Lane. let us compare the 1960's with today.

Yes, as" lads" we did get "hammered" but I cannot recall the level, severity and social disruption, that the drinking of alcohol does today.

Anyone who worked in A&E in the 60's will give you a good insight compared to A&E in any UK hospital at the weekend.

The UK is in denial that alcohol is a major social problem and as such, difficult to address.
The proles are smashed to being blotto on £4 wine from the Supermarkets.
Looks like good fun being had in some of the piccies.
The pictures of people collapsed aren't good... the pictures of the girls having a chat at the bus stop, under a brolly or the couple trying to have a little kiss in private I thought were relatively normal/innocent.

I agree with Jake really, brits going and getting pizzled at the weekend is hardly news.
its one of the reasons why i chose to live in spain, i never feel threatened here on a saturday night, whereas you take your life into your hands going out in the uk on a saturday night.
There was nothing wrong with half those photos.

but the other 1/2 nudgescuffler?
Very unpleasant sight.
I used to do all the clubs and pubs in the 70s and 80s, yes there were drunks to be found but nothing like you see these days, we never saw all these girls collapsed and screaming and fighting in the streets.

I'm also aware that the problem isn't as bad as the media portray, they only show the worst side of these things. They will never show footage of a night club emptying out and everybody going home in a quiet and orderly manner, no one would be interested in that!
I've seen worse in Northampton......on a St. Patricks Day night......:op
Lets face it the Mail only publishes these to give half their readership a salacious thrill and the other half the chace to feel superior - tut a lot and say "Wasn't like this in my day"
Lol....We use side street pubs so don't get captured on camera :-)
Looking at those pics again, quite a few are totally harmless, two young girls sitting down talking, young couples having a harmless laugh and a kiss, they could have easily been totally sober and on there way home at 9.30 in the evening for all we know!
I think it's disgusting that the mail have posted that photo up an injured girls skirt!
has the filter gone mad? i posted " and the other 1/2 nudgescuffler, but somehow it was posted wtih nudgescuffler, and not nudgescuffler. is there an explanation.
pa___ula....who said that she was injured?
nudgescuffler again!!
why??
is someones ab name been banned?
