Can;t work this out today ...
Zombies will rule the streets this month, but it;s carnival that brings this town alive each year, including a notorious night of debauchery. Get into the party spirit, then walk off your hangover in the shaded streets. Generations of artists have found inspiration here. Name the town.

The four pix are (a) a zombie guy (with a blurred zombie female in the background) (b) a sort of batman logo), (c) a coastal fortress and (d) some south american looking carnival dancers in skimpy costumes)

Can someone help, please.

Thanks, Chox.

thanks boxtops, look forward to hearing from someone soon. chox.
The city looks Mediterranean but that could just as easily be South America, except the people look a tad European....

thanks - looks like we're getting a bit warmer ....

these could be a complete red herring but a zombie can be a cocktail using Puerto Rican rum (presumably Bacardi)
Question Author
Sounds good, but isn't P.Rico a city and this needs to be a town.

Will check it out though.

Hi boxtops - you sure about that - Bermuda's an island .....
Speak soon, Chox.
only because if you look at the first of my links, Bacardi's HQ is in HAMILTON, Bermuda.... (not sure if you rate Hamilton as a city but it's the capital)
Zombie walks happen all over the world every year ?
Question Author
Any other ideas - or shall I stick to Hamilton Bermuda?
Chox.
The answer is Sitges in Spain
Carnival town on the coast, has an artsy reputation from the 19th century. Facundo Bacardi founder of the brand was born there and one of the many carnivals is the Rua de la Disbauxa, or the Debauchery Parade, and the Sitges Zombie Walk is on October 14.
I can't suss out how to attach a photo of the old coastal fort at Sitges for you to see its the same as in the clues. But if you google the old fort at Signes you should get images to convince you.
