Infuriating because it's the last one in what I thought was a pretty tough crossword with some very elegant clues. So to be so near and yet so far...

Thank you. Funnily enough `i had "thrall" as an answer and got the hr bit but I couldn't make "tall" fit (as i said, I wasn't happy with "ramps which was the connecting word). But now you have set it out it has suddenly hit me: a "tall order" is unlikely to happen...

Doh! I have just realised that I put the connecting word in as the letters I have! Sorry. For this one, I had *h*s"l and THAT is the s I wasn't happy about! To the corner, hanging my head in shame!
