Did you ever wander into the topics in R&S or News and realize you were out of your depth? ........Even in CB I'm sometimes made to feel inferior by some.

In R&S I often feel that I'm banging me head against a brick wall. (We atheists are often in the majority in R&S threads but the chances of the deists accepting our opinions seem to be non-existent).

In News I just feel saddened that, despite all of the contrary evidence, people like Anotheoldgit still seem to believe that the Daily Mail never lies!

However I can't see how you could be made to feel inferior here in CB, Dolt. As long as you remember to doff your cap whenever you read my posts I'll always treat you like an equal ;-)
Don't be flower, your opinions are as valid as anyone elses whatever people say.

Buencho, you're a gent, but Im not going there again, they're all too intercultural for me.
Slapshot, they use big words in there, have you ever heard them? bunch of ......
Yeah, I'm probably one of them at times and while I might get exasperated by some of the views you should never disprespect the opinions of a poster....except beso.... ;-)

Proper debate can only happen when there is a proper range of opinions too many debate bully's tend to forget that.

Slapshot, whatever your views, It always seems to end up with personal insults.
It's unfortunate that it happens but that's people's natures and there's little you can do about it. Hold you opinions and don't let people bully you with big words or insults, they are only words after all
Dear Dolt,
I did a couple of times and as slapshot said felt 'bulied'. We all experince the world in many different ways. What is important to you will be different to me. I kind of like that. But some people want us to believe all the same things, well that is what it feels like to me. And as you say ends up with personal insults which I personally hate. The thing that makes me laugh is the way people present 'facts'. I have found very little in life that is a 'fact'. Some people present 'facts' which when I speak to someone who has studied the subject will pepper their facts.
Can I make a constructive suggestion?

You could get a big scary avatar - the jelly baby marks you as a bit of a newbie.

Look at Buenchico - he/she's a kitten really, but the big red face lends a sort of loony gravitas.

Just joking <];-))
I like to have a dabble sometimes if I think I can add something... don't forget the true art of language is explaining a difficult idea in a way everyone can understand... If you want to put your point across, post carefully read through before you submit to be sure you can back up what you say.

Just as the world outside AB has some toffee nosed, opinionated old farts so does the virtual world... just ignore them and talk to the nice folk
Hi Rowan - I'm not toffee nosed, am I?
No Ven...you are as mad as I am...this is a good and sacred thing...

That's a point... dolt and the newbies can practice their religious debate in apotheosis just follow the link to Ab Editor
I once asked a question in a thread in News section, got one sarky reply and several helpful replies to it. The sarky one just showed me what an ass that poster is (can't remember who it was so that obviously hasn't bothered me)
My attitude was and is, if you don't ask you don't find out.
Chris i believe in god although not in organised religion and I have given up on R and S because of the same brick wall!!
I once answered a question in technology and was very proud of myself.

I've since answered several questions in technology... but technically it's more because I forgot to sign out before OH has answered. I still claim them as my answers though as they are answered in MY name :c)
I'm always out of my depth in news, but its the best section.
To redress the balance, CD, I think you should do it 'the other way round' and provide some graphic and knowledgeable answers to...ahem...Women's problems in B&S.....whilst signed in as 'himself'.....:o)
He once answered a question about a she-wee I believe :c)
:o)
I spend quite a lot of time in R&S and News...
Yes ummmm - but you know exactly where to place the rapier for maximum effect ... :)
