I've just got the theme and title and am, as usual, thoroughly enjoying this puzzle. The three different types of clue were a challenge to start with but it all works out very nicely. Many thanks for the entertainment, Ron.

All good - I enjoyed this - nice one Ron
Likewise - loved the construction. In many ways what the Listener is all about for me.
I really enjoyed this one. A nice idea beautifully worked out.
Finished. Agree very enjoyable. Briefly stumbled over entry method in lower section of grid.
Have the theme but struggling on lower part of grid. Can anyone help me with 25d, 33d, 34d, 35 d and 36d.
haggis58 - a full understanding of the theme will lead you to sufficient cross-checking of those clues to limit the number of possible answers and allow of back-solving.
Tramart - thanks for your response. I thought I did have a full understanding of the theme but can't work out the down clues that I have missing in order to fill the last three rows. All I have so far is: -va---o-nke- in 1st row then -ef---a-lex- in 2nd row and -st---d-ipe- in 3rd row. Very frustrasting! Do three children's names appear in 1st row and does the main performer feature in the 3rd row?
haggis58 - I'd say you are well on your way to a full understanding.
Tramart - thank you for your inspiration and encouragement. Have now completed the grid and justified all my answers except 22ac. And why the arrow at bottom right of grid?
Yes, an excellent puzzle. What is "Qat", mentioned in an earlier post?

There are many other useful tools on this site.
Thanks, Whenland.
