Why didn't the Government step in and ban the selling of cut-price dresses?

This type of action by the supermarkets, only encourages people to go around smartly dressed. :0)

I agree AOG.

I'll go look in the wardrobe for my sackcloth and ashes right now ;-)
I have a label in the back of several of my clothes which are either F&F (Florence and Fred) or Cherokee. Sometimes these items cost less than a pack of bacon, so although not what I went in for, they are what lasts and not bad at all.
Oxymoron here - Tesco and High Fashion in the same line.....
I agree DT.

I'm more of a Primark girl myself
The way I read it was that Tesco's were making a gigantic loss on this product and wanted to clear their shelves,
They certainly don't sell that line in the Tesco's near me!
Lucky you boxtops
:)
And , indeed, why doesn't the government ban cut price everything else ? Often wondered that. It only lures people into shops.
