As a linked solution, grey iron is just as valid as iron grey, even if the former is more known to engineers and is not given in Chambers. Any views?

I am going for iron grey as it is a more common expression - grey iron might be too obscure for what the compilers want.

I'm going for "iron grey" as in battleship grey.Thats what it is in the OED.

Grey iron is a type of cast iron. Either answer should be good
