Just stuck on this one.
How the cow announced that fifty were in debt (5) L?W?D (no such word as 'lowed' is there.I think my letters are correct

I'd say lowed is correct................
verb

(of a cow) Make a characteristic deep sound
- the lowing of cattle
Yes L = roman numeral for 50 & owed = in debt

lowed past participle, past tense of low

Verb:
