Saturday's (28/04/12) £500 Prize Crossword.
Relying on the goodwill of anyone still out there cannot get 24D 'Never mind fake bird' (6,2) -I have "?E?G?T -?T" which leaves me with either 'Height it' or 'Weight it'. I can see the bird (Tit) but not 'Never Mind'. Finally, I can recognise dear old Jim Broadbent in photo 'E', but neither of the other two Z-listers one of whose name is an anagram of:-LOKTIONSWNMI. Any clue/help gratefully received!
Faster than a speeding bullet Lie-in-King, only just beating ubasses to the punch. Grateful to you both for putting me straight on dear old 'Tom W.'!! And 'Forget it' is a result of putting 'tooth' instead of 'teeth'. Mille Graz
