I found this to be a nice challenge with a very satisfying final step. I found the clues to be tough but fair (except I felt 19:33d was subpar). Well done, Ferret.

cross_lover : Regarding "what to do with each delay", it might help if you put a full-stop after the 4th, 6th and 8th words of the instruction given by the correct letters. The message given by the incorrect letters is not essential to completing the grid.
I trust I will be told if I've said too much.
Second Friday club again! I thought some of the clues were very tricky with well disguised misprints. Getting the message provided by the incorrect letters enabled me to finish the important first message. Thanks Ferret for hours of entertainment.
Having completed the grid last weekend, we left the denouement for the following weekend, as is our wont when it's not immediately obvious. It's still not obvious though!
Well ... I certainly paid the price for starting this a week late. A very tough finish. But all done and posted tonight, thus maintaining my 100% submission record in 2012.

I really enjoyed this. Hope my 'draughtmanship' is up to standard.
All done as per instructed but final representation not as smooth as expected. Worried might provoke tuttutting from judges. Please advise
taittinger, my representation isn't smooth either. The preamble says only that service is uninterrupted, not seamless near junctions. The instructions from the incorrect letters are quite specific and since tan(pi/6) != 1/3, irregularities are inevitable.

Given the strictness of marking for 4201, I expect entries showing direct connections to be marked wrong for disobeying the instructions, even if the representation looks 'correct'.
Texasetes, further elucidation is rqd. Perhaps we could discuss on [email protected] before it's sent off (as it stands) by carrier pigeon.
Well, now that the solution has been published I see that it disobeys the message given by the clues' incorrect letters: the hour hands DON'T point directly at the relevant hour. All the oblique lines slope at an angle of about 18 degrees, rather than the 30 degrees formed by hands on a standard clock face.

It'll be interesting to see whether my rule-following (but wonky) entry has been marked wrong. That's if I can be bothered to request my personal stats.

It's well worth a read.
