MM and KM Links Oct 2012 Week [1]

What a day of contrasts it has been. Blue sky almost from horizon to horizon this morning then white-capped black clouds full of heavy rain this afternoon followed once more by sunshine and rainbows.
I sat for over an hour by the shore watching seals scratching and yawning while a soft vestigial swell kissed the shoreline with a slurp that barely moved the seaweed. An array of shorebirds slept on the offshore skerries waiting for the tide to tun while wagtails feasted on the flies amongst the washed up kelp. A lone robin was proclaiming has territory somewhere behind me.
I could have lingered longer but the light was fading and you were all waiting for this shrubbery post to remind you of the guessing games that take place tomorrow here in Q & P. It is a new month and so the scorecards have been wiped clean and everyone starts again on a level footing.
The KM version of the game starts first. It is managed from Australia by our good friend Seekeerz. The KM links game based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crosswords and starts in Q & P early on Saturday morning. Play any time before midnight on Sunday.
The MM Game for October is set by one of our own. This month it is being set by 'Lady Jill' aka tearinghair. Look out in Q & P for an introduction at 8:45 and then the challenge itself will follow on the same thread at 9am sharp. Early players have a better chance of picking up bonus points.
The game closes at 7pm Sunday when the results will be posted.
Until tomorrow morning then,
Happy Linking
