I totally agree with you about pop song questions - the answers are not worth knowing and have no place in any worthwhile GK crossword. However, (and perhaps regrettably), you can obtain the answer(s) you need by Googling the clue.

I'm amazed at the number of idiots who use this site, pop music is as much GK as anything else and a search engine will more often than not provide an answer. Wikipedia is not the most reliable source as anyone can put what they like on it.
