Hello EVers,

Pleased to have finished this puzzle in good time as I'm out to lunch today. All very fair but once you have the theme everything falls into place far too quickly.

Last week Devadolly won the prize and when I congratulated her I mentioned that I too hadn't won it for years.......well guess what.....incredibly I won it this week! Reassuringly it proves that the email submission system works.

Wow! Many congrats Twit-Who....you are far more deserving than me as you always seem to have finished it in double-quick time instead of plodding and stumbling from hint to hint as I do!
Well done Twit-Who.

With the prohibitive price of stamps I have been e-mailing my entries with some misgiving.
It is good to know that the system works.

As you said this is a pretty straightforward puzzle & fits together quite nicely.
Hello everyone,
I enjoyed this EV, I didn't like last week's offering. It was the grid gazing that reduced the "enjoyment factor".
So, the editorial gaffes have now spread to the rubric, viz "gid" instead of "grid"!
Congratulations to both devadolly and Twit-Who. I'm not sure which meaning of "out to lunch" I should use Twit-Who, whichever it was I hope you enjoyed yourself!
I'm just about to pour a Glenlivet to assist preparing dinner, a glass or two of Stamford Brook Merlot will assist the digestion of the meal.
Is there a typo in the clue for 36a - should the first letter not be T?
I think N is correct...Nags ( as in horses)
I'd agree with you K.
It's a nice puzzle and I hesitate to mention it, but C should strictly be ----- Best.
