Yes folks, it is the last week of Lady Jill's reign of terror. She, tearinghair, will be posting her final challenge for the MM Links game here in Q & P at 9am tomorrow with an introduction 15 minutes earlier.
With two low-scoring weeks this month, we are all looking forward to enjoying a 'generous' weekend if 'Her Ladyship' can see her way to being more in touch with her lieges. It is so close at the top of the leaderboard that it is anybody's guess who will win - - - or who the next setter will be.
Now I can't go without also pointing you in the direction of our sister game, the KM Links Game based on the GK crosswords in the Daily Telegraph which is usualy posted by seekers from Australia. It starts early(ish) on a Saturday morning but you can play anytime before midnight on Sunday. Same points available whatever time you play.
Please note that for this week only, the launch depends on player cooperation because Seekeerz herself has gone AWOL. Regular players will know what is expcted of them. Seekeerz herself returns on Tuesday so the results of that game will be published a day later than usual.
Apologies for the later than usual opening of this shrubbery thread, but I am away from home with a dodgy laptop and hanginging on to the internet through a mobile dongle that won't tell me how much time remains before it cuts me o

The Shrubbery is now available for the players (and potential players) to socialise.
I could do with someone to help me with all this weeding. I HATE BINDWEED.
Can't help with the bindweed (what is it?) but can cheer you up by saying thanks for all your efforts.
And can I also say I miss the Shrubbery? The castle on Saturday's is OK and I sometimes join in, but the Shrubbery's casualness and informality hit the spot for me.
Hi Bigmac. Yes, i enjoy the chat in the shrubbery too; several of the usual members seem to have gone to ground lately. I didn't think I'd better take much of a part in it this month in case I gave away any clues...
I know what you mean BigMac.
Tempus Fugit I'm afraid.
Some players have become bored and stopped playing as they move on to pastures new.
Others are feeling the ravages of time and are spending more time supporting the NHS than the internet.
I also understand that some of these tuck-in nurses come at an incredibly early hour!
It is no longer a bottle of wine or glass of malt that we should be sharing.
Maybe it is now more appropriate to have a mug of Horlicks and a glass of Steradent!.
well I'm only semi-awol .... would you believe I have the computer access but have completely forgotten to bring the 'address etc' to access the telegraph site so it really is up to you all to pitch in and come up with the clues and link words to start off the game I'll post a reminder or something about start up time and keep an eye on proceedings so play nicely, big sister is watching !!
