Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Copies sent in the post are A3 size which many people prefer. Electronic copies sent to online donors can be printed out on any size of paper your printer can handle.

The quiz consists of cryptic clues to the titles of nearly 70 books.

There will be a prize of a £50 John Lewis voucher for the first correct entry drawn at random after the closing date of 7 December 2012.

Users of this site are kindly requested neither to solicit nor to provide answers to this quiz, although the solicitation and provision of subtle hints from 3 December onwards would be acceptable. Thank you.

CORRECTION: Q34 in this quiz is not in the correct place in the alphabetical order of the answers. In the corrected version it is now Q42. Apologies for the error.

Thanks for the quiz, Richard. Am puzzling over it while watch Downton Abbey and it's quite challenging! I thought that 34 was out of order so glad you mentioned it. Jan

Stuck on last one of this quiz. Answers are book titles. Any clues for 41 please: 'Dotty of Dorchester digests a stout volume' (3,8,4,2,7) First word is The, second begins with G or H (answers in alphabetical order. Thanks for any clues.

Have asked this earlier today but fear it may have gone in wrong section so sorry for repeating myself! Need last answer (no41) to the book title quiz: Dotty of Dorchester digests a stout volume (3,8,4,2,7). Starts with 'The' and second word starts with G or H. Need to send in answers for Friday so fairly urgent! Any help appreciated.
