Please can someone help me solve this puzzle??

The puzzle is as follows:

One day fifty three year old Tom Morgan, decided to go to the Black Spot, with Captain Smollett, who lives on Bird Rock. When they got there they met Billy Bones who was twenty three and did naught. Captain Smollett asked if he had seen Israel Hands to which he replied I'll check on.

A hint for solving the puzzle has been given and it is Spy Glass.

This has no relation to geocaching whatsoever. It was set by the landlord of our local. So please no wise cracks about geocaching as it is getting just a little redundant. Any and all help would be so appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
