Here is where I say 'Good Evening' to the Shrubbery crowd - well, the dedicated and loyal two or three of you anyway. Welcome to the November playground where it is wet (nay, 'soggy') underfoot, bitingly cold in the air and clear skies above (for now).

I noticed that a few people were missing from the fun and games last weekend. I know a couple were in hospital and wish them a speedy recovery. Maybe others were taking a late holiday in search of the sun. Whatever the cause, I hope the new month will see you all revived and raring to go.

The first game to kick off in Q & P tomorrow morning as always will be the KM Links Game which is managed be Seekeerz. That version is based on the GK crosswords in The Daily Telegraph.

The new month means a new setter to get to grips with in the MM Links Game. Tearinghair can now return to guessing the links as 'The Lady Ursula' (aka Owllady) takes the reigns for the next four weekends.
Tomorrow, she has an important early appointment so I shall be posting the introduction and links on her behalf. Introduction at 8:45 and the challenge at 9:00 in Q & P.

New players are always welcome to both games - No previous experience necessary. All you have to do is guess what word has been paired with each of four declared words to make either a new longer word or a well-known 2-word phrase. Your guess may go either in front of, or after, the declared word.
Results of the KM game will be posted by Seekeerz early on Monday morning,
Results of the MM game will be posted by myself at 7pm on Sunday

Oh, and one last thing (if you'll excuse the plug): Cryptic Quiz fans should also look out tomorrow morning for the launch of my latest Charity Quiz entitled 'It's Raining'. More details in the morning. First indications are that it is easier than last year's.
If you submitted an SAE for a prepaid copy, they went into the postbox on Monday morning and should be with you by now.

Until tomorrow morning then,
Happy Linking

'Soggy' isn't the word here, gen2; I've been emptying the pond and digging up the roots of all the reeds round the edge. The whole area is now swimming in mud. This is a source of endless delight to our two cats....
Evening all. Having spent 10 days in the Algarve with Christiana, I am struggling even more with the cold!
