6d Excuse (Cu - copper)
Capri = capri pants - ladies' cycling gear?
11 Capri
C+ pair
C = cycle
A = a
P = couple (pair)
RI = Rhode Island
6d Excuse (cop out) - 'Cu' (copper, in) 'ex' (former) + 's(abotag)e' (case of)
11a Capri - 'c(ycle)' + ' a p(ai)r' + 'i(sland)'
Excuse is right,
Ex = former
Case of sabotage, ie first/last letters CE
Cu = copper.

Possible explanation for Capri
Anagram of pair, plus CI (Channel Island, but more usually Islands)

Thanks boxtops, getting late,
> Anagram of pair, plus CI
