It's the last in the "His Dark Materials" series and they need to be read in order, but it's not a bad read if if you like fantasy type books.

It was a very big seller a few years ago, ellie, and I think this (or another of his) was made into a film> I think they were the sort of books teenagers and parents liked

The only one I can think of is Little Mansions by Dorothy Quentin but that is plural.

Hi Quinie - NO - not definitely 2 words - but seemed sensible to thnk the first word might be little or even wee
