18A Where in Scotland quiet girl turned a tad noisy (6) ?E?N?N I have an idea for the answer but no idea why it could be the answer! Please can anyone help? Thanks

Thanks shooty for confirmation (and explanation) of my suspected answer. I had p for quiet, I had ann for the girl and that left me trying to work out where en fitted in! If I'd spelt anne differently that would have helped and then I might have seen that the n came from noisy! Many thanks for your help.
