Plain sponge & white choc

Will a plain Victoria sponge cake go ok with white choc? i.e. melted choc in middle, coated in melted choc then shards of white choc going up the sides; the person I’m making it for opted for this as she felt a white choc sponge cake would be too sweet with all the other choc stuff going on – but I’m dubious whether it will ‘go’ together – I’m actually an avid hater of white choc, so I’m probably not the best person to decide, so you’re opinions will be appreciated.

I would suggest a ganache filling if she insists on white chocolate filling (mixed melted chocolate and cream) and some added strongish flavouring in the sponge. I am not fond of white chocolate myself :-(
