MM Links Results November 2012 Week 4

It is 7pm on the last Sunday of the month and that can mean only one thing:-

Yes, 'The Lady Ursula' (aka owllady) has challenged you for the last time this month and a new setter will shortly be chosen for the December links.

I can now reveal that her chosen links were:

TOWN HALL
COUNTRY MUSIC
PARKING TICKET
HOUSE BOAT

Two of those proved more elusive than others but all were eventually discovered by players.

Strix was first out of the shrubbery and first to claim he had a PARKING TICKET with middlestump and Aquagility similarly embarrassed for 2 points each (but NOT on their driving licences). Several singles were later claimed on this link.

The second player, Rockfordill, went straight to the TOWN HALL (along with BIGJACK) to apply for their 2 points.

They were the only successes of the early rush.
The next link wasn't discovered until almost an hour into the game when Brenden revealed that she prefers COUNTRY MUSIC (2 pts). Alas, there was only one other fan all weekend.

This week surprised me because I didn't think there were quite so many possible links for you to choose from and was beginning to despair that the final link wouldn't be guessed.
But I needn't have worried, for at 3:30pm, along came SHAZZA with HOUSE BOAT, but not only that, she also matched 'parking ticket' for a total of 3 points.

The only other double-hitter this week was Patchett with two singles.

Therefore, for being the ONLY player to guess HOUSE BOAT and also for being a double-hitter, I proclaim

One final announcement:
I will be taking a fortnight's break from the MM Links game over the festive period, so there will be no challenges on Dec 22/23 and Dec 29/30 meaning that December will be a 3-weekend challenge.

Assuming Brenden successfully gets in touch with me, we will reconvene as usual next weekend.

No not going anywhere but just reducing the pressure for two weeks.
Many players go away or have other distractions that player participation is greatly reduced over that period so taking a break allows everyone to have an equal chance of winning.

Well no points for a whole month !!!! Things can only get better !!

It is headache time now for the MM Links manager as Brenden has had to decline the post of December Setter.

The chance therefore passes to one of the three players in second place.
Two of those have set the links once before - , Aquagility in May 2010 and Middlestump in April 2011 BUT 2unicorns has never set them so I appeal to her to get in touch

Joint second-place, Aquagility, has agreed to be setter for the next three weekends.
