Incidentally, those children taken by Rotherham social services from the couple who were UKIP members, have sadly now been separated.
/// Today it emerged the siblings have been separated from one another. ///
/// The boy has been sent to live with one family, while his two sisters – a baby and an older girl – have gone to another home.///
/// The couple - who have already bought Christmas presents for the children - has now called on the leaders of Rotherham council to quit after they failed to apologise for what has happened. ///

And of course it does sort of feed into Camerons criticisms of the party, that they are staffed by fruitloops, etcetc..

This thread might get a little confusing, because people might (and have) veer off in two different directions depending on the part of the question they're answering.
em10 - I read this story on another link, so I'm a little confused by your earlier post. Did this <insert adjective here> spokesman say something racist?
Regarding whether UKIP should be held responsible for these comments. No, they should not - but it's useful that he did, because it means that UKIP can now state what their policies on gay adoption actually are.
But on the other hand, it should be recognised that political parties are not comprised of mission statements or ideals. They are made up of individuals who have prejudices, ideas, beliefs and convictions that are personal to them.
This man has focussed on the idea of two men kissing and finds it upsetting and has transposed that to the idea of those two men adopting children.
No matter what the leadership of UKIP say, they are not going to change his deeply held beliefs.
I would encourage everyone to speak as freely as he does because they gives us, the electorate the opportunity to vote accordingly.

'coloured'???
Bless.
Very strange your subdued reaction to pdq1's use of the word coloured, had I had used the same, you would most likely have been jumping up and down demanding an apology or at the worse my suspension.
Confirming my belief that it is not what one says, but who says it.

Errm... how can guessing what someone might do in certain circumstances confirm anything except your own though processes?
