This puzzle helped fill the wakeful small hours in most enjoyable fashion. Having looked at a few posts, it looks as though catching up with last week's will be more of a challenge? I've missed four weeks of puzzles - any opinions on the best of the four?
BlackHugh wondered why Aedites picked this theme. Well his last Listener was about the Glasgow subway, no. 4124, and the one before that was Question, no. 4052, the one involving bell-ringing changes (and the controversy over church, campanile, belfry and bell tower,) so he certainly seems to provide us with an eclectic mix. This was very much easier than those two.
Mesnilpat, you must have missed two for which the solution is already posted. Elap's Numerical (4216 Evens) wasn't as difficult as they sometimes are. 4217 Absolutely Pointless by Waterloo was original and challenging. 4218 System Analysts by Stick Insect was original too and the endgame was great - I think that would be my pick of the four. 4219 was a really enjoyable grid fill but the endgame was difficult and I know people are still wondering about the last pdm. Welcome back!
