My first attempt at thematically repairing the 8 answers was misguided, but worked in a couple of instances! Certainly more demanding than last weeks offering.

Thanks for asking, I am feeling a lot better, wouldn't wish that experience on anyone! How's your weather? No sign of the white stuf here yet, December was rain, rain and more rain. We've actually had a few moments of sunshine today!

Glad to hear it. We had 1/2 inch or so of snow a few days after Christmas but roads are clear and temps are in 20s and 30s - par for January, in other words. But it may hit 50 by Friday - also par for January!

A very cleverly set puzzle which took me far longer to complete than I initially
thought it would.
In a couple of clues, even though I had the solution, it took re-reading them to
justify the answers.

Hello Everyone. Seems a very sparse N & C this week, where is everyone?
A very late start this week and am having great trouble with this one, have a respectable no. of answers and some inserted but cannot see any connection with the title/preamble and what/which have to be changed. Some nannying would be gratefully received.
