My suggestion for a new name was something you do with the pancake while your cooking them ( to turn them over ) also it's something you do with a caber.

Perhaps it's not named after the pan in which you cook it.

Maybe it's named after Pan, the god of ... well, lots of things, actually.

So a new name could be ...

an Aphrodite Cake (if you LOVE them)

a Poseidon Cake (if it turned out a bit WATERY)

a Hestia Cake (if you are good at COOKING them)

a Dionysus Cake (if you sneak a little WINE into the mixture)

an Apollo Cake (if you make the low fat, HEALTHY version)

My local co-op was selling ready made pancakes [8 in each pack] buy one get one free [that's 16 pancakes. If you bought all the ingredients, could you make all that many as cheap as that? I shouldn't think so! I think I got myself a bargain.
