Habas - it is in the Bible that is Chambers.


If we take the clue as leading to a double definition then it must be TOSH.

If we take 'Mate' to imply a slang term, then BOSH could fit the bill.
On reflection, I think TOSH is more likely to be correct,
however unlike some, I am not on an Ego-trip.
