Great fun and having different formats for clues kept me on my toes. Not a theme I knew well but with the internet it's not too much of a problem. What would we do without it? Thanks Samuel.

What has happened to the printing format? I had difficulty reading the numbers. Anybody else have this problem? I often seem to be having a moan here but honestly I am really quite a happy-go-lucky soul. At least no editing errors this week - not that I noticed anyway.

Just my kind of crossword - lovely theme and lots of thematic material, and yet another trip down memory lane, so thanks to Samuel from me too.

The numbers were a bit fuzzy on my print out as well, so I'm glad to know it's not my printer to blame.
Hello Twit-Who and Slaney,
I'm glad I didn't have a monopoly on the fuzzy clue numbers! Have to admit that I needed to revert to the Internet to research the the helpful information! I enjoyed the clueing, and the different things going on made the whole thing fun!
ditto, ditto & ditto, fuzzy numbers and all. Never heard of the theme but always glad to learn about obscure British things.

Snowing again today! It was 70 on Friday! Argh!

Loved the theme - one of my favourites. If you haven't met it before I really recommend it - made me laugh out loud. All done except for 28d, which is still puzzling me despite having made the necessary adjustment
Light finally dawned. As usual, I now wonder why I didn't see it before.
A most enjoyable puzzle once I blew the cobwebs away and got into it. Didn't start until yesterday as got hit by the novo-virus bug over the w/e and spent Sunday asleep (Himself floundered his way thro' fending for himself and didn't actually starve to death! He was so surprised!!) Managed to finish it off today whilst grabbing some sustinance in-between sorting out the beef orders as the latest came back this morning, just how does one satisfy 33 orders for packs of sirloin steak when one only has 26?
Missing the answers to 15, 30 and 38 but probably won't bother tidying up the loose ends. Found this a very nice puzzle whose theme took a while to become obvious. Googling words I felt had to be involved revealed all and the rest fell into place soon after. Thanks Samuel.
Like others I really enjoyed this puzzle which took me back to my
young days.

Jim 360
15 B LOO (can) D (dated)
38 I (begin to ignore) DI (princess) anag COY
30 Etna ....Ante
In between times I solved the remainder anyway. Thanks - though I evidently meant 18, 30 and 35.
For evidently read "actually". My mistake on both occasions - this crossword has numbers that are hard to read!
