1. left my handbag on a hook in a changing room, only realised when I needed to pay
2. left my handbag on a shelf in same shop while poking around shoes
today
3. went to ATM, put card it, did numbers, took card out - stared at card slot - heard beeping, can't be me - didn't even notice the money waiting to be collected.
Not good, too much on my mind - I must concentrate on one thing at a time.
I walked back to the car on Friday, thinking it was chuffing cold and then realised that I had left my coat (with my car keys in the pocket) at Court. I had to schlep ALL the way back there. Cursing as I did so.
Then on Wednesday, I came in with a bag of shopping. Put it away. Later Mr BM asked for his car keys back (I had taken his car), could I find them, could I hell. They were in the fridge. Of course.
A while back I cycled 2 miles into the city centre to go to a market. I bought a few things and went and got the bus home.
It can happen if you've things on your mind.
yes. I had to go into the bank with my driving licence because i'd mislaid my cashpoint card - as i walked away from the counter the woman called me back because i'd left my DL on the side - no wonder i mislaid the cp card!
I'm just the same, blame it on the weather LOL - I left my debit card in the machine on the counter of my opticians this week. I "should have gone to SpecSavers!" - except for the fact it WAS Specsavers! I made them laugh when I went back for it - I said the same thing!
Yesterday was Youngest Junior O's birthday. I must have hundreds of cake candles but as usual I couldn't find them so I went and bought a pack of 5 with letters on each one that spell out the word PARTY. I couldn't even get that right - I placed them on the cake so they spelled PRATY. Later last night I found the bag containing the cake candles I can never find.
I have put it somewhere safe ready for the next birthday.
Happens to me all the time boxtops, I recently made myself a coffee, went to answer the phone, then searched everywhere for my coffee, found it hours later, in the fridge, the milk was on the phone table.
OH lost his specs a few months back, couldn't find them anywhere. Went to the optician last week, got a new pair. On Thursday I felt down the back of the sofa cushion for a knitting needle - no needle, but the specs were there :-)
