The preamble says that many clues contain one word which must have a letter removed, and those remaining rearranged to form a new word before solving. Thanks for any heelp
I'm just going to have my first stare at the grid - it's unlikely that anything will jump out at me but I'll let you know if it does.
I haven't rounded up the discarded letters, so have only half of the Across and Down messages/phrases/comments.
Boreas, do you mind if I ask if the second (Down) phrase ends 'whisk'? If so, I'll keep puzzling - if not, I'll have another look at my scribbles!
I think the reference in the preamble to 'wandering in the grid' means it's not going to be a totally simple (diagonal, upwards etc) wordsearch.
I have just realised that there are a couple of other people in my house that I vaguely recognise. They seem to want to talk to me, so I will have to get back on the case tomorrow.
Boreas, there IS another title by the individual - it is not always given as such, but I suddenly remembered it from my schooldays. Let me know if another little hint would help you finish this off altogether - I heaved a huge sigh of relief when I got there.
No, it's much simpler than that! The title has 'office' - this equates with the first half of the place you mentioned (in the full title of the title) and 'issue' equals the second half of that word.
I hope this is of some help.
