Emergency 999 Or Facebook ?
39 Answers
There was a car crash and a fight in our street a few weeks back, involving injuries. What astounded me was that 8 people immediately posted it on Facebook but only 1 bothered to dial 999.
Is this the norm now ? what would you do first if you saw an incident , FaceBook Twitter or 999 ?

We of course ran over and when he looked dead immediately called 999 (I found out later he was ok after some hospital rest). I saw a bunch of local people on Facebook later saying a man had been hit by a car and was dead. They assumed this because they saw my car on the opposite side of the road. They plain made up the dead bit from thin air. I didn't bother commenting or sharing my own status about it on Facebook, I considered it disrespectful to him and his family. I would do the same again.
