For those of you, like us, who are interested in seeing the great Vulcan in the skies, there is an announcement that instead of finishing flying displays forever at the end of this year, it will now continue until 2015. :0)

The plane will only keep flying providing there is enough money to do so and unfortunately it takes a lot. There is no help from the government and whereas the Battle of Britain memorial flight [ Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane etc] is maintained by the RAF the Vulcan Bomber isn't. This is something I don't personally understand as, to use their own words" The BBMF commemorates the past of the RAF's air combat power", surely the Vulcan is part of that tradition. However, at the moment we have to rely on the good natured public who have, I must admit have been magnificent.
