Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Is the prize awarded for the crossword or for counting the number of letter "a's" there are?

IMO, it must be the number of 'A's - if you text or phone the answer in, they'd never see the grid you've completed.

Thanks LIK, I suspected that, they have taken away the fun of doing that crossword.

Hi Caran - I stopped sending it a long time ago & hadn't realised the conditions had changed :-)

???^^^^ Surely you still need to do the xword to get the number of A's

Yes Baldric, but you no longer have to send the grid in (although you can), you can text or phone the number of 'A's instead

So, if someone came on here asking "How many As in this weeks You Crossword?", would they get an answer?

When they first changed this from winning the crossword alone to counting the number of A's and only phoning or texting, there was such an outcry they reversed it. I thought it meant you got a prize for completing the grid, but no they just allow you to send in the grid with the counted a's on.
