I'm well aware the word is used to denote tiredness but do you think the answer, which is pretty obvious to cryptic crossword buffs, would ever appear in a British crossword? It amused both of us.
Our papers are supposedly too prim and proper for that sort of thing. Unless, of course, there is some scandal with juicy bits to serve up; then, its no holds barred.
