Hi martalex welcome to AB yes it is good son archaic scottish saying.
Hi again it would help us to help you if you give the clues?

Welcome to AB

3. Remember: Not everyone will have a copy of the crossword in front of them, so please write the clue EXACTLY as it appears, the number of letters required and which (if any) you already know e.g.

Thanks all for your welcomes & yes I should include clues, good point. I still don't find "good-son" that you said was answered before, all I find is "shedloads" when I search this puzzle number.
4d Pharmacy business stocks ecstasy for you, on telephone deposit (5)
Pharmacy business stocks are drugs - then replace the U (sounds like you on the phone) with E(cstasy) to give DREGS.
p.s. i searched for 17 since i reckoned that number is unlikely to cropped up in many questions
Google the clue rather than the number - not everyone uses it.
I explained the reasoning here:

Thanks Bibblebub, I didn't realize puzzles could also be searched by date.
i chose 17 because it's the clue number - you could also select one of the less common words from the clue simply because it won't appear in many questions or answers (less results to trawl through)
Welcome to AB martalex. re no17. good son may be archaic but it's still used in the Doric-usually guid son-son-in-law
guid dochter-daughter-in-law etc.
The Doric is spoken in the north-east of Scotland (Aberdeenshire)
