Can anyone advise me on what to do next. My wife baby daughter have reurned from a disastrous holiday in France. The caravan was filthy, uncleaned , had an infestation of ants ,the surrounds of our site were covered in dirt, weeds and had only earth ; a big difference to the brochure pictures were every picture had lush green grasss and new decking. I have written to them 3 times and they have hardly bothered to even read my letters judging by their response but have offered me 160 as a goodwill gesture. We complained straightaway to the courier and only stayed for one night as it was so bad. We took pictures of everything, and moved to a different caravan belonging to a different but stayed on the same site. We initially paid 1050 for the first caravan for 10 days then paid another 650 for the second caravan. I have told the company that we want a full refund of the 1050, under the supply of goods and services act. Has anyone got any tips on what to do next, obviously ABTA or the small claims court , but need tips Please. Many thanxs

ABTA first if your holiday supplier is ABTA bonded. Keep copies of everything you send - don;t send original photos, get copies. Deal only in writing, no phone calls. be patient, and firm, you should get a result eventually. Good luck!
If ABTA doesn't work, then you need proper legal advice. Try CAB or a solicitor - most solicitors do an initial consultation for about 5, but you will need to ask about this. It might just be the case that an 'official' threatening letter will do the trick. Good luck.
Sounds like the sort of holiday problem that Holiday Which feature, you could try getting in touch with them.

If all else fails and you still feel you have a case, go online and type in money claim online, you have to fill in some details of the holiday issue and depending on how much you want to claim for your ruined holiday, there will be a small cost about 50 - 80 pounds, normally for the legal letters and court hearing if it happens, but they send the holiday company a legal summons, officially on your behalf, by which they have 14days to answer this normally gets them to settle out of court and your fees back within 14 -28 days,  it's too expensive for them to go to court and fight for under 2000.............Good luck  !!
