Have full grid but cant see name/partner any pointer to where to look ( I think I have gone though all the clues using the same sequence of steps) thanks

Obviously it's two five letter words. Both are on a diagonal, and symmetric. I found a first name first by using the "device"..............then found a surname. It's one person. It's very very clever so shall not spoil your Penny drop moment, which will come!

many thanks, found name, its probably me, but am I missing something as the name E???? D???? appears normally, and using the device to reverse their position, wont work with the letter R.
