Mm And Km Links October 2013 Week [1]

A new month and a clean slate for the scoreboards.

I really must try harder with the KM Links Game as I rarely score more than single points. That game is run from Australia by Seekeers who, early on Saturday morning in Q&P, posts the four greyed answers from The Daily Telegraph GK Crossword. The idea is to guess what Kate Mepham's four greyed answers will be in Monday's 'Herculis' crossword. The answers pair up to make a well-known phrase or new word. Anyone can play by adding their guesses to her (seekeers') thread anytime before midnight Sunday.

There is also our own version of the game called the MM Links Game in memory of Kate's father, Michael Mepham. In that game, one of our players makes up the links for you to guess. This month, the setter is Psybbo (formerly known as sibton). She will post an introduction in Q&P at 8:45 am, then the challenge itself will appear at 9:00. That game will close at 7pm Sunday when I shall declare the results.

The rest of this thread may now be used for socialising by players and potential players but I won't be around until much later on as we have dinner guests this evening.

I imagine the shrubbery might be sporting a few autumn leaves and getting a bit cooler these nights, not too much activity

Hiya, gen and seekeerz. Clocks go back last weekend in October, so couple of weeks yet. Will certainly give it a go tomorrow, but am working, so will be as and when!
