Metal Amaryllis Supports
Can any of you please give me a link to a supplier of metal supports for an amaryllis plant?
I can find several online but the prices are in dollars so I presume that the suppliers are in the US. I want a UK based supplier.

Thanks for your suggestions. An amaryllis is a tall indoor plant, often in the shops at Christmas, which grows from a bulb.
The supports I have seen are like long metal skewers twisted into a circle at the top.
I will have another look at the links you provided but, after a quick glance, I think the supports advertised are for outdoor plants.

Actually, the supports aren't ugly at all. They're gilded and quite attractive. I can't grow mine in the way that you do because it was given to me and is already growing really well. I don't want to disturb it at this point.
The way you suggest is a great idea but won't work in my current situation. I will certainly take your advice next year when I grow an amaryllis from scratch.

You could make them yourself with some metal coat hangers and spray paint. Stick a bead on the end for the knob or mould a knob from that two part putty for mending metal.
The only thing that I would say is that I have found that supporting the flower head is not the problem. If they are grown in light compost in a plastic pot, the weight of the flowers can make the whole thing fall over. If I were you and it isn't already in one, put it in a heavy well fitting pot cover (cache pot) to stop it getting top heavy.
